3 Products in 30 days- Day 3-9
I'm a full stack developer. I love writing about my tech journey, share useful tips and a little bit of everything (programming). Java DevOps (Android) 👩🏾💻. Feel free to share with your friends, Happy reading ☕.
You know I mentioned building these 3 products:
An event mobile app for iOS and Android.
An e-commerce website for an Instagram hair brand
A portfolio website
WELL THINGS CHANGED!!!
and it would probably explain why I took 6 days to release this article.
But I promise you, it was worth the wait.
You ready?
You wouldn’t believe from 3 projects; it turned to 6. Yes, you heard me…
6 projects (3 MVPs + 3 web projects)
And to surprise you I finished 1 under 6 hours, oh I am leaving you to guess which one:
a. A 3D model editor or
b. Readus, A reading and writing platform. You must’ve heard of it, a collaborated project.
and you might be wondering; you said 6, only mentioned 5.
Well, the 6th one happened to be a private project, I can’t really disclose. But trust me once I am done and it is released for production. You, yes you will be the first to know.
Trust me to cook something great under short notice.
One thing, I would tell you tho is how I got the project, the processes. My strategy towards it, how I passed interviews (general tips), how I got reached out to. Which would be in my next article. So stay tuned.
Least I forget; let’s talk about the elephant in the room. The 1st finished project of the 3 projects.
Since I promised, I was going to let you know about my processes of achieving it, at least my personal procedures. Here goes:
Chidinma’s 3D Model Editor
So what gave me the idea of the project?
A JOB POST!! Yes, I mean if I was going to get a high paying Job, I could at least try building a project they expect on the job.
Thats the most solid way at building your portfolio or improving your skills if that’s what you want. So how did I do it? I worked with React, Vite and Threejs.
I started by reading documentations on threejs, 3D models and their impact in the tech world. An idea popped up, Imagine dropping your product design into a web app that lets users rotate, zoom, and explore it in 3D.
That was my brilliant idea, I went work. I wanted the website to be a responsive, so I can see it on my mobile device, and I wanted a nice flashy color. I had 2 options… Blue and pink.
Eventually went with pink, you can see it here: Chidinma's mini 3D Editor
I decided to post about it on my socials and do a poll, Blue VS Pink and everyone chose BLUEEE.
They are both my favorite color, but no one supported pink. Maybe because the pink was giving red-ish vibes. Do I plan on switching to blue, maybe not.
Now to my second project. Another Web project.
The Ecommerce store- Elexis hairs
I started the prep already, spoke with the owner of the brand.
Suggested using paystack Api to receive payment and informed her of their payout taking 2 days on weekend (which is usually when she sends out majority of her orders). It didn’t align with her so she suggested another way of getting her payment which I would be integrating.
Yes, I take client’s feedback well. I won’t be revealing until the website is live, but you can make a good guess. It’s fast and no delay.
Anyways first line of action is the navbar and her brand colors she wanted, pink! So I made it responsive and pushed it to GitHub.

Then moving on I ticked that off my list for the day and then pushed all commits to Git while I explored examples of things I want to model, yes, tthat's the word. So far, I have mentioned 5 projects.
A. The portfolio website already in motion.
B. The 3D editor already completed, if you have been following me on X (@thejavabeast) you must have seen me post it a couple of times.
C. Ecommerce website which I just gave a progress update, If I stay up 2 days I think I should be able to complete the frontend with minimal backend.
D. An event mobile app, repo created; working with cross platform for ios and android, my plan is simple to use and a unique selling point. Which will be made available when it is live.
and last but not the least
E. Readus, I kind of saved my personal favorite for last, a new app designed to help people share their thoughts, write personal stories, and find comfort through reading others’ experiences. You can follow us on X here: https://x.com/readus_

And for the Last, it is a contract. I can’t disclose, but you can congratulate me a little. Building in public is working faster than I thought, and this is exactly why I started posting more.
Also, I decided to publicly promote my company, Elexistech, for the first time in a long while. Since I am building in public, I might as well share something personal of mine.
And yea we have 2 new openings currently, 1 for a lawyer (our old lawyer is out of the country) and 2 for a backend & devops developer (a solid, trustworthy person). If that’s you or you know someone personally who can fill in, please let us know.
Checkout elexistech, on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/elexistech/
On X: https://x.com/elexistech
We will also be hosting something special for interns and tech people who are good but don’t have long years of experience so follow. Ciao.
Now you might ask, Elexis. How are you pulling this off?
Actually, I haven’t slept well for 15 days. I am currently in this avatar state. Yes, I would like to call it that. Out of touch with the enjoyment of life, these are my golden years. I have the mindset: work now, enjoy later.
Don’t worry, I am trying to sleep well now. Lately, my bedtime is 11 pm/12 am as opposed to the previous 3 am I started this series with.
15 days left now. I might take a while before I update again, but let’s see. I agreed to 3 products in 30 days.
6?? That’s Beast mode, part of the reason why my X username is thejavabeast and linkt.ree name is JAVABEAST. Nothing is beyond me.
AGREEMENT
But an agreement is an agreement, 1 and a half done, 1 and a half to go.
Might throw in a little fisi, as Yoruba will call it, or Jara, meaning extra or a top-up.
If you have read to this point, why don’t you follow me on X: Chidinma Elekwachi | Software engineer (@thejavabeast) / X
It’s not easy to be a software engineer, a writer, a new startup founder, and still make time to write about what I am building. Trust me, if you believe I must be drained.
I am, but for the coming days, time management and a good schedule will be my goals. But honestly, 24 hours don’t seem enough anymore; each day feels like 6 short hours to me.
I’d end this by saying, you don’t need motivation or words of encouragement to break out of that chain of being broke or being stuck. You need YOU.
There is no special formula, you just gotta say: Fuck it! I am changing my life and go change it!
Don’t forget to share this article with anyone you think it would impact.
See you!
